Frank P. Key Palacios Leon Architecture is a full-service firm dedicated to the design and execution of architectural projects which respond to client needs while improving the community through the built environment. Our philosophy of (fewer materials, better materials) is economical, long-lasting, and easily maintainable buildings. The firm was founded in 1991 and has been located in McAllen Texas exclusively for the past 32 years. The firm's philosophy provides for a continuous design process from concept through occupancy. Since the design process never stops, the final product exceeds the conceptual intent. To assist the architectural process the firm uses the state of the art 3D and AI design tools always working in 3 dimensions throughout the entire project. True virtual model allows instant 3D views from any point facilitating input from architect, owner, and consultants. This model can be easily converted into a computer walk-thru for a more thorough site contextual presentation. Recent local projects include the design of the H Management Center, an office building, and its interiors located on the 495 Commerce Center, McAllen, Texas, and Corporate offices for UBS International, McAllen, Texas. International projects include project Management for Corning’s 350,000 SF, a fiber optic production facility, and Andrew Corporation’s 165,000 SF, a digital antenna assembly plant in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Local educational projects include a new middle school, a new Career and Technology School, and a new technology/ board room. Regional projects include 4 retail centers in Austin. In the past 25 years, the firm has completed national and international projects as part of a contract with the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). These projects include renovations and new construction to include Main Excahnnge at the Air Force Academy, the Officers Club at Camp Pendleton, California, a food court at Atsugi Japan, the BX Markets at Ft Shafter, Hawaii, and a Carswell JRB at Ft Worth, Texas. All projects listed were bid projects on which the firm provided full A&E services including accurate cost estimating and full Contract Administration until owner occupancy.

Current projects include hotels, apartment complexes, and restaurants.
